Stainless Steel Rice
Cooker
A stainless steel rice cooker can be a great addition to
your kitchen. Not only is it sleek and stylish, but it's also a
great way to cook rice without the normal problems you may have
with scorching it. And, because a stainless steel rice cooker
is so great to look at, you won't even have to transfer the
rice to another container to serve it. You can simply place it
on your table, serve, and then easily scrub out the rice cooker
afterward, making cleanup easier.
Why a rice cooker?
If you haven ever tried to cook rice, you know that it takes
some careful precision and extensive watching when done on the
stove. If you don't watch carefully, it can
mean trouble if you cook rice in a regular
pot. It's really easy to overcook or undercook rice, and the
results can be nothing short of disastrous. A little
undercooked, and it's crunchy and inedible, and "a little
overcooked" can make it scorched or sticky. However, rice
cookers eliminate this problem because you simply measure the
rice and water, steam or cook according to directions, and
presto, you have perfect, fluffy rice with a minimum of fuss
and muss.
A rice cooker can help you eat healthier, too, since being
able to throw together a quick stirfry and then cook it on a
bed of perfect, fluffy brown rice, as one example, is a great
way to get your veggies and plenty of fiber, and leave the
drive-through for another day -- or maybe even out of your life
altogether, except perhaps as an occasional treat. With cooking
made easy such as the stainless steel rice cooker can do for
you, you won't need to hit the drive-through to make a quick
and easy meal ready -- and again, it's going to be much
healthier, too.
Why stainless steel?
Stainless steel rice cookers are better than other rice
cookers for a number of reasons. For one, they're not breakable
as ceramic ones may be, for example, so they'll take a lot more
use before they'll break and they can take a little bit of
rough handling, too. In addition, they simply look great so
that you can simply cook and serve the rice in the same
container without having to make another dish dirty because you
have to put it into something to serve it. And finally,
although you'll pay a little bit more for a stainless steel
rice cooker, it's going to be well worth the extra cost, since
this sturdy appliance will be with you for a long time.
